Finished chair - Stoel klaar

I finished the chair!

Art agreed to let me work on it some more and I managed to attach the legs. I used the same thread/cord I used for the weaving to attach the legs with a few knots and stiffened the underside with white glue.
The cord I use is flexible to weave with but stiff and sturdy once woven so the chair did not need much to stay in shape. I covered a piece of card with some fabric and glued that on the seat to cover the knots.

Art is trying it out - Art probeert het even uit

The size is o.k. according to Art . De maat klopt volgens hem
I think that's a thumbs up. Volgens mij is dat een duim onhoog

Very comfortable with a sheepskin inside

Heerlijk comfortabel met een schapenvelletje erin

  2. What a Great chair, Veronique!!! I LOVE the sheepskin look.... I love all the "looks"! And Art does look very happy and comfortable in it! Will you make a different chair for Angelique... or does she have to compete with Art for "The chair"? (That is just a question... you don't have to rush on My account...! I have so many unfinished only partly furnished houses.... it is astonishing my dolls ever sit Anywhere.... and you can forget about beds! LOL! Good thing the Little people are patient...!)

    1. Thank you Betsy! For a "don't know where I'm going with this ball" project, it turned out o.k. :-) The sheepskin does look very comfortable indeed. Art loves it but he knows this one is for a secret project I will blog about in due time. He's not so keen on the pink legs anyway and he wants a footstool to go with the chair so he can retreat in his man cave and read the newspaper. That said, this chair does not fit the style of the house so I have no other choice but to build a man cave indeed for Art. Yet another project. And here I was, still working on a wedding dress... :-)

  3. I suggest you get the wedding underway without delay, if he gets something as comfortable as this into a Man Cave he may never come out and the wedding will be off! If it's comfortable enough he'll just ignore the pink legs, or give them a quick spray paint of jet black, a minor detail like that never stood between a man and a good sit down ;)

    1. Hi Norma , Art did disappear with the chair. No idea where he's hiding. I am trying to coax him back with a new one and a newspaper . As for the wedding , the weather is horrible right now so we will have to wait a while.
      To be continued :-)
