The kitchen- de Keuken

Sometimes it's the details that matter. This is how I left the kitchen in 2013

It was high time to finish it. As I will be adding lights later on, the walls are still unattached and the door frames not mounted yet but that will sort itself out once the lighting is installed. Other than that it's very much done.

I know the miniature world is the perfect world to live out our dreams, things that we could never have in our real life houses. Many of you have the most delightful baking scenes in your mini kitchens. I don't. My RL kitchen is a constant mess, even more so since my dishwasher broke. So my dream is a clean and organised kitchen :-D

As usual: poke the pictures for a better view -  Zoals altijd, klik op de foto's voor een groter beeld.

I have joined a Dutch group on Facebook and have been buying some miniatures through that group.
I bought the mushrooms and the carrots from Annet Camphens. They look so real! I made the potatoes.

Anita Brouwer ( AnitaBrouwer (at) gmail.com) printed some typically Dutch tea towels, blue and white chequered.

But what is that bunny doing in the kitchen?
Wat doet dat konijn in de keuken?
Probably trying to get at the carrots! Can you blame him?
Waarschijnlijk wil hij de wortelen stelen! Geef hem eens ongelijk.

I love this view through the windows - Ik vind deze inkijk door het raam heel mooi

I hope you enjoyed the tour in my kitchen!

Heel fijn weekend gewenst. Lieve groetjes, Ilona

  2. Dear Veronique, your kitchen is looking Fantastic, even without the lighting and the doors attached! You have added some wonderful details! I LOVE the color blue on the chairs and those potatoes look good enough to eat! I had a good close look and they could have fooled me! And the carrots too! No wonder the bunny is hanging around! And I too, love to look in through the windows! It looks so wonderfully real and inviting! I am really enjoying seeing the progress you have made!!! And now that Autumn is here.... tea and toast by the warm stove sound like a piece of heaven! :)

  5. If I could I would underline your saying about the details making the difference! That's so true - and you've chosen your details very well to create an inviting and happy kitchen, not only a place to work but also a place where the family comes together. And I can feel with the clever bunny - the carrots look very tempting for sure! ;O)

    Hugs

I am sorry to hear that your dishwasher is broken. Washing dishes is not much fun.
