Chairs and more

Last time I left you with one dining chair and an empty tube of glue. That glue proved elusive and the shop that promised it to me got delivered the wrong one. They gave me their own tube, barely used. So I could finally finish my dining chairs.

While I was gluing away, I decided to make a chair and footstool for the living room.

And because it's almost Christmas, it was high times to start decorating. As the house is still being built, the owners have decided against a tree but that doesn't mean it can't be festive.

While I was battling my nutcracker's beard, the postman rang (once 😉) and delivered a package from Birgit from https://biwubaer.blogspot.com

In the package was a beautiful Christmas card, cute Christmas decorations, marzipan and the cutest calendar for 2019 with Fluby and Rosey gracing the pictures of  each month. Thank you so much Birgit for spreading Christmas cheer ❤💗💖

I continued the decorating

Years ago, I bought a little brown corner cabinet. I didn't know what to do with it until now.

I am of course out of glue again, so we will see what's next 😉

Thank you for visiting my blog and for commenting. I really appreciate it!

  1. Running out of glue is TRAGIC! But I am glad that the store came through for you and gave you enough to get your Mid-Century mod chairs assembled along with those for the living room too!
I am very intrigued by your Willowcrest project and by the modern style you've chosen which I Love! and am so glad that you've decided to decorate the living room for Christmas! The nutcracker is Absolutely Adorable and so are the rest of the decorations you've made for the mantle. :D
Your Christmas corner room box is Wonderful and soooooo Festive! and your 2 little elves couldn't be happier with it and can't wait to move in and unwrap all of those pretty parcels. :D

Have a Very Merry Christmas Veronique and enjoy your Special gifts from Birgit and her Beary bears :D

    1. Thank you so much Elizabeth. I have noticed this house has a will of its own and I never know where it's taking me. Hopefully everything will come together in the end.
My little elves fit the scene perfectly indeed. They always put a smile on my face.

      Merry Christmas to you too!

  2. Hi Veronique! What a great feeling it must be to have finished up the chairs and now having a completed and completely fabulous dining room set! It was great that the shop gave you their personal glue so that you could move forward! The house is looking so nice, and I love the shot with the dining room and the neat staircase in the background!
It's always fun to decorate our mini houses for Christmas, and Birgit's package had the perfect timing to contribute to that effort! I love the corner cabinet, too, and it was so smart to turn it into a Christmas themed display! So many fun and heart warming things to look at!
I hope you find more glue soon so that you can continue your creative roll, and I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas!

    1. Hi Jodi,
It was indeed very nice of the shop. The good old village mentality I think.
Thank you for noticing that shot with the stairs in the background. I like see-through shots like that.
Birgit is the best and her package came in time to contribute to my Christmas decorating.
Now off trying to find some more glue!
      Merry Christmas

  5. What fun... it's so nice to learn that my little Christmas greeting had the perfect timing to contribute to your Christmas decorations. Your house looks very festive now and I must say I'm in awe with your nutcracker, quite a handsome lad! ;O) And you couldn't have found a better use for that cabinet than to fill it with this lovely Christmas scene - and how nice to see that the tinies are already in the right holiday spirit.

  8. Hello, Veronique - I'm so glad that you were given the glue you needed so that you could finish those fabulous purple chairs; I love those chairs! I like the contrast of the new animal skin chair and footstool, which lend their own unique character to the room. Seeing your beautiful poinsettias reminded me of the year that I decorated with dozens of poinsettias on my stairway and mantel. But I didn't have a handsome nutcracker to add to the festive look! You've created Christmas wonders with your decorations in the little brown corner cabinet - that was a brilliant idea - and I've never seen such cute Christmas elves. Enjoy your special gifts from Birgit - she does spread Christmas Cheer!

  10. Dear Veronique, I am late to comment, but I want to say how much I LOVE your decorating! What a great idea to make the little cupboard into a Christmas Room! Now all you have to do is open it for a good "dose" of Christmas any time of the year! LOL! The chairs you added to the house look wonderful too... I love the "cow hide" look of the black and white ones! And the other decorations are too cute... the nutcracker is wonderful! Birgit has been spreading her Seasonal Magic all over the world too! It is great to see you have a box of her magic too! Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones! :):)
