How cool is that!?

Hello dear friends,

I have not forgotten you, I try to keep up and leave a comment here and there but most of my time is spent decluttering my house. I am hoarder, a real one, so this has been a ginormous task.

I have lived in this house for 26 years and letting go of my safe place is a process. This house has seen me happy and sad, sick and whole. I have no idea where I am going but I know it's time to move on. But I am taking my time, slowly untangling myself from this phase of my life.

Only one room left to declutter and some ceilings to paint. The end is in sight.

My miniatures are packed, my houses stowed away. I have withdrawal symptoms but I must be strong. I really want to get this house on the market so I can look for something else.

However, in the meantime, I was contacted by a nice lady scouting tutorials for Dollhouse World and she liked my wrought iron made from quilling paper.

I sent in a tutorial and it was published!!
How cool is that? I can say that I am an internationally published crafter 😂

I will leave you again, sending you all my love. Wait for me, I will be back!

  1. Hi Veronique! It's great to see you pop in! A hearty congratulations for the recognition! The tutorial is a smart and accessible method for everyone to achieve a great looking wrought iron! I love your examples and am eager to try it!
On the moving on part... You are so brave to let go of the past in order to make way for the future. I know it is an extremely hard and complicated process, but you are made of good and tough stuff. A happier future is the payoff for major spiritual growth, and you are well on your way. I can hear all your angels cheering because they know what awaits you. Godspeed and my prayers are with you!

  4. It's good to hear from you - and wow, that's great news. Congrats on being an "internationally published crafter" now. This is a great tutorial and your way to achieve this wrought iron effect is in fact really clever and totally worth to be published.

Fingers crossed that on the house selling and moving to a new home front everything will go well according to your wishes and especially your needs. Keep up with being tough packing everything in boxes and deciding what to keep and perhaps what not. The pure thought of being in your shoes makes me shiver, I'm a hoarder too… but there's always this tempting voice whispering "The day will come when you'll need exactly this piece"... *LOL*

    Hugs
    Birgit

    1. Thanks Birgit! And I am the same: the day will come when I will need this tiny sliver of this or that. I got rid of kitchen stuff, books, clothes easily. The stuff I hoarded for mini stuff is most likely to move with me :D. XXX

  7. Hi Veronique!!! It is wonderful to see an update and hear what you are doing! I can relate to your "de-cluttering" and Down-sizing... I am contemplating a move in my future, and it can cause a bit of panic! But given Time and Determination, it can be done... and is good for the soul. When it is time to move, it is always better to go bravely forth! I commend you! And I await your eventual return to mini making!!!
And Congratulations on your article! Well Done!!!
