Macro lens

No mini this time but a little gadget I found to make better photos of minis.
It's like an elastic band to put around your smartphone, over the camera lens. It has a lens that takes very detailed pictures. I don't have a state of the art camera and this was a cheap and quick solution to get good photos of my minis.

Geen mini deze keer maar een kleine gadget die ik vond om betere foto's te maken van mijn mini's.
Het is een soort elastiekje dat je om je smartphone doet, over de lens van de camera. Er zit een klein vergrootlensje op dat heel gedetailleerde foto's kan maken. Ik heb geen camera met technische snufjes dus dit was voor mij een snelle en goedkope oplossing om toch mooie foto's te kunnen maken van mijn mini's.

    Wow! That is a really cool gadget! And the pictures are So Close-up!! What detail you can now see!! Amazing! Those stitches look Huge!!!

      Yeah.... that's the down side: you can see how sloppy I stitch :-) Can you imagine what detail you could get from Father Alban's painting?

      LOL! I discovered it by chance. I knew there were "click on" lenses for IPhones, but as I don't have one of those I had to research further. And this came up. The link between the English and Dutch text takes you to a review + mention of where to buy and it also offers a link to the official page where you can also buy.
      I bought it from a Dutch internet store, so that won't help you much.

      I used to use the magnifying glass that I have on hand when working but this is a 100 times better!

    Hey Veronique, dat is een cool speeltje, zeg! Tja, als je geen fototoestel hebt wordt het moeilijk mini's duidelijk te fotograferen. Wat een vondst, nooit van gehoord!
    Ik heb een oud digitaal fototoestelletje, niets bijzonders, maar hij doet het prima.
    Veel (speel)plezier ermee :D!
